6 Weeks!

I can’t believe it’s only been 6 weeks. The first two weeks sucked. I won’t lie. I basically spent my days in bed and on the couch. Oh, and I finalized Zevs Bar Mitzvah. How the F did I do that???  Wait - then we HAD Zev’s Bar Mitzvah!!!!  WTF?!?!?  Then, it was packing the 3 kids to camp AND the cruise plus Kerry and I for 2 more weeks in Europe. Say What?????  So here we are. We spent a glorious week on the Symphony of the Seas where we saw our kids get a taste for Europe, try new foods and enjoy every second of the biggest cruise ship in the world while celebrating my in-laws 50th Anniversary. Zev told me he wishes we never sent him to camp because he loves travelling almost as much!  On Sunday, the kids headed home for camp and we headed west to Basque Country. Go there.

We are now driving north towards Bordeaux and came across the most incredible spot.

So here I am: 6 weeks post double mastectomy with reconstruction and I just climbed Europe’s largest sand dune!  Dune du Pilat is 110 m above sea level made up of the softest sand. While my energy and stamina are still not 100%, I still did it!! I am so grateful that I am in a position that I am able to travel before I start my next phase of recovery!

Now off to wine country!  Bon voyage!
